STEM is my world, I have a Ph.D. in Theoretical Chemistry, but I pivoted into IT shortly after completing my studies. Since then, I've been making a successful career in Tech for over 25 years.
Currently, I manage a team of systems engineers at Fortinet, one of the biggest cybersecurity vendors in the world. I mentor and coach young women who're trying to make a career in the tech field.
I'm also the founder and CEO of The Queen Bee Hive, a platform that helps women experts become more visible and collaborate more successfully.
Promoting more diversity in the tech industry and new approaches to work are topics near and dear to me for obvious reasons. I guide and mentor young women starting out on a tech career. I hold #IAmRemarkable Workshops for women interested in becoming better at self-promotion.
I've been a speaker at numerous events such as the WomenTech Network Global Conference, the "WT2 - Women Transforming Technology" conference, talent acquisition events and Women in Tech meetups.
In my podcast, the "Women in Technology Spotlight," I talk to women working in tech about their careers and development. Highlighting their stories and their roles creates more visibility for the breadth of careers available in tech.
On my podcast, I also facilitate panel discussions with experts to discuss possible solutions to the current gender gap.
I'm a mentor for the WomenTech Network, SheTech Africa and at WoMentor.
